Each agency within the State of Kansas struggle with the expense of "outfitting" each staff member with professional looking uniforms and associated gear whether staff are assigned to the operations division, correctional division or support staff. There appears to be a need for a unified approach to purchase uniforms from one supplier who can provide a quality product with a reasonable price attached.
Much of the same can be said for purchasing inmate jump suits within the correctional setting regardless of whether the inmate is wearing a jump suit or correctional style jeans and shirt depending on their level of classification. This would include under garmets worn by the inmates.
