Eileen Filbert, Jefferson County Health Department, has requested that the Health Care Cost Breakthrough Team look at joint purchasing efforts in medical supplies. The team met on January 10th and decided to move forward with this. We are developing a list of medical supplies that are purchased most often by state and local governments. We are checking with correctional facilitaties, local health departments, home helath, and ambulance. Let us know what you think and if you are interested in this collaborative arena.
